Here’s the story…
There are simply far too many potential diet plans out there. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!
It’s for this reason that, as soon as you’ve committed to a diet, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, sticking to your chosen diet is of paramount importance. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. You may just find yourself in a position where you need to start all over from scratch.
You’d be well served, for this very reason, to build up an online library of recipes within your chosen plan. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
Does this make sense?
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself, which is why I bring this up. The reason for this is actually quite simple…
Food and drinks that one diet plan deprives you of, some totally different diet plan allows. And let’s tell the truth here. Food-based videos are usually unbelievably knee-weakening. 😉
But the thing is, for any diet plan to work effectively, you really need to stick to it. While each diet is completely unique in its approach, many say that healthy food and a slight caloric deficit are really all it take to help you reach your goals.
I can certainly see the merit in that, even though I’m no diet or fitness guru. The fat should come right off if you control what and how much you eat and drink. Oh, and move that body of yours a little more! 😉
This is conventional wisdom. It probably earned its right to be!
Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And it’s generally not advised to mess around with those, if you’re trying to maximize your weight loss.
At least stick with one thing long enough to see results!
