Clearly, there are many diet plans in the world. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!
Therefore, once the choice has been made, and it’s time to start prepping weight loss meals, it’s important that you stay committed to your plan. Wavering could be detrimental to your weight loss success. You may just wind up having to start all over from scratch.
Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
Hopping from one diet to the next is certainly something that I’ve done in the past. Why did I do this? Only one reason…
You usually develop a pretty powerful appetite for those foods and drinks that your plan restricts, which a competing diet plan 100% permits, and perhaps even encourages. The grass always seems greener on the other side. And counter-arguments can be pretty compelling. And one thing that’s clear… Recipe videos can oftentimes be ridiculously tempting. 😉
Clearly, you need to stick to your chosen diet plan long enough to see results. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.
Makes sense to me. Don’t pig out all day, steer clear of prepackaged junk, and you should see some pretty powerful results. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.
No doubt that this is conventional wisdom. As well it should be!
Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. Macro-nutrient ratios are a key focus of many diet plans out there. It could be detrimental to your results to stray from your diet’s particular ratio.
At least stick with one thing long enough to see results!
