Moving along…

Clearly, there are many diet plans in the world. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!

As such, once you’ve committed to a diet, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. It can really hinder your success to stray from your chosen path. You may very well find yourself starting all over again.

This is why you definitely want to compile a small library of recipes that fit within your particular diet plan. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.

It’s basic, but hugely important.

Hopping from one diet to the next is certainly something that I’ve done in the past. The reason for this is actually quite simple…

You’ll typically tend to develop a pretty powerful appetite for whichever foods your particular diet plan forbids you to consume, which some entirely different plan allows, and perhaps even encourages. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? If the person on the screen tells you it’s healthy, you should probably eat it, yeah? And let’s make no mistake about it… Culinary videos can be 100 percent difficult to resist. 😉

Clearly, you need to stick to your chosen diet plan long enough to see results. Of course, it could be said that any diet that focuses on all-natural foods and reasonable portion sizes can be enough all on its own.

I’m no diet or fitness guru, but I see merit in that. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. Add some exercise into the mix and look out!

You’ll probably recognize this as common-sense weight loss. And it’s for good reason that it is!

But even if your chosen diet isn’t a low-calorie model, you may still be well-served to stick with it long-term. Macro-nutrient ratios are a key focus of many diet plans out there. Failure to adhere to your diet’s particular ratio may compromise your weight loss results.

Keep your eye on the prize! Don’t stray.
