I just wanted to say a few things…
There are simply far too many potential diet plans out there. If you’re like me, you’re probably overwhelmed by all of the options.
Therefore, when you’ve committed to a diet, and it’s time to start prepping weight loss meals, sticking to your chosen diet is of paramount importance. Failure to stay on your chosen path can prove detrimental. You very well may find yourself in the position of starting all over again.
Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.
Makes perfect sense, right?
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one diet to the next. And there’s really only one reason why…
On sugar-restriction, you crave sugar. On calorie-restriction, you crave calorie-dense foods. And counter-arguments can be pretty compelling. And let’s tell the truth here. Cooking videos are usually unbelievably seductive.
Choose a lifestyle that you’re thrilled to stick with. That’s how long-term results will be achieved. Calorie reduction and fresh, healthy foods and drinks are said to be the most surefire way to lose weight healthfully.
Makes sense to me. Put the right amounts of the right fuel into your body, and reap the rewards of a healthy body and physique. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.
This is surely the world’s most popular weight loss advice. And this is for good reason!
But even if your chosen diet isn’t a low-calorie model, you may still be well-served to stick with it long-term. With some diets, macro-nutrient ratios are more important than calories consumed. And it’s generally not advised to mess around with those if you’re trying to maximize your weight loss.
Please stay the course. Your future self will thank you for it!
