Diet plans are in no short supply, my friend. Choosing one diet over another can be a daunting task.
I believe that the moment the choice has been made, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, you only want to seek out food and drink recipes that fit within that particular diet plan. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. It’ll probably return you to square one.
For this reason, I suggest starting a diet-focused recipe library. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.
The importance of this cannot be overstated.
Hopping from one diet to the next is certainly something that I’ve done in the past. And I’ve done so for one simply reason…
You’re going to typically develop cravings for the foods that your current diet won’t permit, which another system fully allows. It’s always super tempting to dabble. Besides, those “video doctors” sure do make compelling arguments. And let’s call a spade a spade… Food videos are usually unbelievably knee-weakening.
If you expect to see lasting results, you need to stick to your chosen plan of action. Of course, it could be said that any diet that focuses on all-natural foods and reasonable portion sizes can be enough all on its own.
Seems like pretty responsible advice. Eat clean, don’t stuff your face all the time, and the fat should come right off. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.
No doubt that this is standard, conventional wisdom. There’s probably good reason for this!
But even if your chosen diet isn’t a low-calorie model, you may still be well-served to stick with it long-term. With some diets, macro-nutrient ratios are more important than calories consumed. Failure to adhere to your diet’s particular ratio may compromise your weight loss results.
Please stay the course. Your future self will thank you for it!

There are like a million and one diet plans available to you these days. It can be overwhelming to decide.
It’s for this reason that, as soon as you’ve made your choice, and it’s time to start menu planning, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. A lack of focus is often to blame for weight loss failure. It’ll likely take you back to the very beginning.
It’s really a good idea to build up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer or device. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
I only bring this up because I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself. And there’s really only one reason why…
You’re gonna tend to develop a pretty powerful appetite for whichever foods your diet plan won’t allow, which a completely different diet plan totally permits. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? And counter-arguments can be pretty compelling. And let’s not kid ourselves. Food-based videos are usually pretty damned tempting. 😉
Sticking to the plan long-term is perhaps the most important component of dieting. Calorie reduction and fresh, healthy foods and drinks are said to be the most surefire way to lose weight healthfully.
At the end of the day, it makes sense. Put the right amounts of the right fuel into your body, and reap the rewards of a healthy body and physique. Oh, and move that body of yours a little more! 😉
You’ll probably recognize this as common-sense weight loss. And it probably has that designation for a reason!
But even if your chosen diet isn’t a low-calorie model, you may still be well-served to stick with it long-term. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And it’s generally not advised to mess around with those, if you’re trying to maximize your weight loss.
Stick to the plan. Give yourself a fighting chance!
