There are simply far too many potential diet plans out there. It can be overwhelming to decide.
I believe that when you’ve committed to a diet, and prepping healthy meals is the next step, sticking to your chosen diet is of paramount importance. It can really hinder your success to stray from your chosen path. It’ll probably have you returning to the beginning.
It’s really a good idea to build up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer or device. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
Makes perfect sense, right?
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one diet to the next. The reason for this is actually quite simple…
On low-fat, you crave fat. On a low-carb diet, you tend to crave carbs. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? Besides, those “video doctors” sure do make compelling arguments. And one thing that’s clear… Food-based videos are, in many instances, pretty damned seductive. 😉
Sticking to the plan long-term is perhaps the most important component of dieting. Reaching your weight loss goals may be as simple as eating natural foods and limiting your caloric intake.
I’m no diet or fitness guru, but I see merit in that. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. Add some exercise into the mix and look out!
This, of course, is conventional wisdom. As well it should be!
Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. With some diets, macro-nutrient ratios are more important than calories consumed. Failure to adhere to your diet’s particular ratio may compromise your weight loss results.
Please stay the course. Your future self will thank you for it!
