Diet plans clearly abound. It can be overwhelming to decide.
That’s why I believe that, once the choice has been made, and it’s time to start prepping weight loss meals, you only want to seek out food and drink recipes that fit within that particular diet plan. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. You very well may end up back at the very beginning.
It’s really a good idea to build up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer or device. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.
Does this make sense?
In the past, I’ve definitely hopped from one thing to the next… like crazy. And when I really think about it, there’s only one reason why…
Food and drinks that one diet deprives you of, another, seemingly equally legitimate diet program 100 percent allows, and perhaps even encourages. If the person on the screen tells you it’s healthy, you should probably eat it, yeah? And let’s call a spade a spade… Food videos are oftentimes quite hard to resist. 😉
Choose a lifestyle that you’re thrilled to stick with. That’s how long-term results will be achieved. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.
Seems pretty logical, really. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. This becomes even more powerful as you raise your activity levels.
Clearly, this is common-sense weight loss. As well it should be!
But even if your chosen diet isn’t a low-calorie model, you may still be well-served to stick with it long-term. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. It could be detrimental to your results to stray from your diet’s particular ratio.
Please stay the course. Your future self will thank you for it!
