Diet plans are in no short supply, my friend. Choosing one diet over another can be a daunting task.
That’s why I believe that, when you’ve decided on a particular diet, and prepping healthy meals is the next step, you need to adhere to your chosen diet plan. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. It’ll likely take you back to the beginning.
For this reason, I suggest starting a diet-focused recipe library. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.
I cannot overstate how important this is.
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself, which is why I bring this up. Why did I do this? Only one reason…
On a low-sugar diet, you crave sweets. On calorie-restriction, you crave calorically-dense foods. It’s always super tempting to dabble. And counter-arguments can be pretty compelling. And let’s not kid ourselves. Cooking videos are, in many instances, ridiculously tempting. 😉
If you expect to see lasting results, you need to stick to your chosen plan of action. While each diet is completely unique in its approach, many say that healthy food and a slight caloric deficit are really all it take to help you reach your goals.
I can certainly see the merit in that, even though I’m no diet or fitness guru. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.
This is surely common weight loss advice. And it probably has that designation for a reason!
Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And it’s generally not advised to mess around with those, if you’re trying to maximize your weight loss.
Stick to the plan. Give yourself a fighting chance!
Take a look at the low cal videos category page here on DietRecipeVideos. These should certainly keep you engaged and on track.
At this point, you can start bookmarking your favorite recipe videos in your browser. What I would do is compile these into a whole new bookmarks folder labeled “Low Cal Meal Vids,” unless you’d prefer something else.
