There are obviously many diet plans in the world. It can be overwhelming to decide.
It’s for this reason that, once you’ve made your choice, and it’s time to start menu planning, it’s important that you stay committed to your plan. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. It’ll probably have you returning to the drawing board.
You’d be well served, for this very reason, to build up an online library of recipes within your chosen plan. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.
The importance of this cannot be overstated.
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one diet to the next. The reason for this is actually quite simple…
On a low-sugar diet, you crave sweets. On low-calorie, you crave calorie-rich foods. It’s always super tempting to dabble. And counter-arguments can be pretty compelling. And let’s tell the truth. Meal prep videos are, in many instances, undeniably difficult to resist. 😉
If you expect to see lasting results, you need to stick to your chosen plan of action. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.
Makes sense when you really think about it. Don’t pig out all day, steer clear of prepackaged junk, and you should see some pretty powerful results. Raising your activity levels will also prove beneficial (obviously).
No doubt that this is common-sense weight loss. And this is for good reason!
Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
Keep your eye on the prize! Don’t stray.
