There are like a million and one diet plans available to you these days. If you’re like me, you’re probably overwhelmed by all of the options.
I believe that when a particular diet has been chosen, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, you only want to seek out food and drink recipes that fit within that particular diet plan. Failure to stay on your chosen path can prove detrimental. You may find yourself back at the starting line.
You’d be well served, for this very reason, to build up an online library of recipes within your chosen plan. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
I cannot overstate how important this is.
I only bring this up because I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself. And there’s really only one reason why…
Menu items that one diet program permits, and perhaps even encourages, a totally different diet program is likely gonna restrict. The grass always seems greener on the other side. If the person on the screen tells you it’s healthy, you should probably eat it, yeah? And let’s not kid ourselves. Meal prep videos are often pretty darn will-shattering. 😉
Sticking to the plan long-term is perhaps the most important component of dieting. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.
Makes sense. The fat should come right off if you control what and how much you eat and drink. Oh, and move that body of yours a little more! 😉
Clearly, this is the most popular weight loss model in existence. As well it should be!
Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
At least stick with one thing long enough to see results!
