Here’s where you want to go…
There are like a million and one diet plans available to you these days. The sheer volume of diet options is ridiculously overwhelming.
As such, once you’ve committed to a diet, and it’s time to start menu planning, you need to adhere to your chosen diet plan. A lack of focus is often to blame for weight loss failure. You may very well wind up back at the very beginning.
Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
Pretty basic stuff, right?
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself, which is why I bring this up. Why did I do this? Only one reason…
You’re gonna typically develop a pretty powerful appetite for those foods and drinks that your chosen diet program won’t let you consume, which a completely different lifestyle fully allows. The grass always seems greener on the other side. They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And let’s be honest here. Recipe videos are often pretty darn seductive. 😉
Choose a lifestyle that you’re thrilled to stick with. That’s how long-term results will be achieved. Of course, it could be said that any diet that focuses on all-natural foods and reasonable portion sizes can be enough all on its own.
Seems like pretty responsible advice. Put the right amounts of the right fuel into your body, and reap the rewards of a healthy body and physique. This becomes even more powerful as you raise your activity levels.
No doubt that this is common weight loss advice. And this is for good reason!
But even if your chosen diet isn’t a low-calorie model, you may still be well-served to stick with it long-term. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
Keep your eye on the prize! Don’t stray.
