So here’s the story…
Diet plans clearly abound. It can be overwhelming to decide.
That’s why I believe that, once you’ve committed to a diet, and it’s time to start menu planning, you need to adhere to your chosen diet plan. A lack of focus is often to blame for weight loss failure. It may just bring you back to the starting line.
For this reason, I suggest starting a diet-focused recipe library. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
Makes perfect sense, right?
I only bring this up because I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself. And there’s really only one reason why…
Food and beverages that one diet plan won’t permit, some totally different diet program totally encourages. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And let’s make no mistake about it… Food-based videos are, in many instances, unbelievably irresistible. π
If you expect to see lasting results, you need to stick to your chosen plan of action. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.
Seems pretty logical, really. The fat should come right off if you control what and how much you eat and drink. Add some exercise into the mix and look out!
This is surely standard, conventional advice. And this is for good reason!
Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. Failure to adhere to your diet’s particular ratio may compromise your weight loss results.
Give your chosen diet plan enough time to work for you. Then, if it doesn’t, at least you won’t have yourself to blame!
