Alright, so let’s proceed…
Diet plans are in no short supply, my friend. Choosing one diet over another can be a daunting task.
So when you’ve committed to a diet, and prepping healthy meals is the next step, sticking to your chosen diet is of paramount importance. A lack of focus is often to blame for weight loss failure. You just may end up in the frustrating position of having to start all over again.
Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.
Does this make sense?
In the past, I’ve definitely hopped from one thing to the next… like crazy. And there’s really only one reason why…
Foods that one plan deprives you of, a totally different diet program fully allows. It’s always super tempting to dabble. If the person on the screen tells you it’s healthy, you should probably eat it, yeah? And let’s make no mistake about it… Food-based videos are, in many cases, pretty darn hard to resist. 😉
Choose a lifestyle that you’re thrilled to stick with. That’s how long-term results will be achieved. Of course, it could be said that any diet that focuses on all-natural foods and reasonable portion sizes can be enough all on its own.
At the end of the day, it makes sense. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. Raising your activity levels will also prove beneficial (obviously).
This is clearly standard, conventional wisdom. There’s probably good reason for this!
Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. Many diets have more of a macro-nutrient ratio focus. And you may not want to play around with those.
At least stick with one thing long enough to see results!
