Diet plans clearly abound. It can be overwhelming to decide.
As such, once you’ve decided on a particular diet, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, sticking to your chosen diet is of paramount importance. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. You might find yourself starting all over again.
Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
This is extremely important.
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one diet to the next. And I’ve done so for one simply reason…
You typically develop cravings for those foods that your particular program doesn’t allow you to consume, which some entirely different diet fully allows, and perhaps even encourages. It’s always super tempting to dabble. If the person on the screen tells you it’s healthy, you should probably eat it, yeah? And let’s not kid ourselves. Food-based videos are, in many cases, pretty darn irresistible. 😉
But the thing is, for any diet plan to work effectively, you really need to stick to it. Calorie reduction and fresh, healthy foods and drinks are said to be the most surefire way to lose weight healthfully.
If you’re honest with yourself, I’m sure you’ll see the merit in that. Put the right amounts of the right fuel into your body, and reap the rewards of a healthy body and physique. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.
You’ll probably recognize this as standard, conventional advice. It probably earned its right to be!
Not all diets are calorie restrictive though. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
At least stick with one thing long enough to see results!
