So here’s the story…
Clearly, there are many diet plans in the world. The sheer volume of diet options is ridiculously overwhelming.
For this reason, once you’ve made your choice, and it’s time to start prepping weight loss meals, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. A lack of focus is often to blame for weight loss failure. You may wind up back at the drawing board.
It’s really a good idea to build up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer or device. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
Pretty basic stuff, right?
Hopping from one diet to the next is certainly something that I’ve done in the past. Why did I do this? Only one reason…
Menu items that one diet program encourages, a totally different program is likely gonna not allow. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? If the person on the screen tells you it’s healthy, you should probably eat it, yeah? And let’s tell the truth here. Meal prep videos are usually quite tempting. 😉
Clearly, you need to stick to your chosen diet plan long enough to see results. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.
I can certainly see the merit in that, even though I’m no diet or fitness guru. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. This becomes even more powerful as you raise your activity levels.
This, of course, is common-sense weight loss. It probably earned its right to be!
Not all diets are calorically restrictive though. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
Give your chosen diet plan enough time to work for you. Then, if it doesn’t, at least you won’t have yourself to blame!
