I just wanted to say a few things…
Diet plans are in no short supply, my friend. The sheer volume of diet options is ridiculously overwhelming.
Therefore, once you’ve made your choice, and you’re looking to prepare your own tasty meals, you only want to seek out food and drink recipes that fit within that particular diet plan. Failure to stay on your chosen path can prove detrimental. It will take you back to the drawing board.
This is why you definitely want to compile a small library of recipes that fit within your particular diet plan. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
Makes perfect sense, right?
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself, which is why I bring this up. The reason for this is actually quite simple…
That which one diet plan allows, some other plan will likely turn its nose up at. It’s always super tempting to dabble. Besides, those “video doctors” sure do make compelling arguments. And let’s be honest here. Meal prep videos are oftentimes pretty knee-weakening. 😉
Sticking to the plan long-term is perhaps the most important component of dieting. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.
Makes sense to me. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.
Clearly, this is common-sense weight loss. It probably earned its right to be!
Not all diets are calorically restrictive though. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. These are often pretty meticulously calculated, and straying from the prescribed ratio may jeopardize your results.
Stick to the plan. Give yourself a fighting chance!
