Alright, so let’s proceed…
Clearly, there are many diet plans in the world. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!
Therefore, once the choice has been made, and you’re looking to prepare your own tasty meals, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. A lack of focus is often to blame for weight loss failure. It may just take you back to the beginning.
This is why you definitely want to compile a small library of recipes that fit within your particular diet plan. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
It’s basic, but hugely important.
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one diet to the next. And when I really think about it, there’s only one reason why…
On low-fat, you crave fat. On calorie-restriction, you crave high calorie foods. The grass always seems greener on the other side. They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And one thing is clear… Meal prep videos are often ridiculously tempting. 😉
If you expect to see lasting results, you need to stick to your chosen plan of action. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.
Makes sense to me. Don’t pig out all day, steer clear of prepackaged junk, and you should see some pretty powerful results. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.
This is clearly standard, conventional wisdom. It probably earned its right to be!
Of course, not all diet plans follow this model. And even if they don’t, you may want to stick with them anyway. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. And it’s generally not advised to mess around with those, if you’re trying to maximize your weight loss.
Give your chosen diet plan enough time to work for you. Then, if it doesn’t, at least you won’t have yourself to blame!
Here’s My Suggestion…
Take a look at the low-carb videos category page here on DietRecipeVideos. There are more than enough videos to keep you interested and happy.
Then, bookmark your favorite recipe videos right in your own browser for easy access. What I would do is compile these into an all new bookmarks folder that you can label “Low Carb Recipe Vids,” or something else that you’ll remember.
