Clearly, there are many diet plans in the world. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!
That’s why I believe that, as soon as the choice has been made, and prepping healthy meals is the next step, sticking to your chosen diet is of paramount importance. Wavering could be detrimental to your weight loss success. You may very well wind up needing to start all over.
It’s really a good idea to build up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer or device. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.
Pretty basic stuff, right?
Hopping from one diet to the next is certainly something that I’ve done in the past. And there’s really only one reason why…
What one eating plan allows, a whole other eating plan will probably banish. It’s always super tempting to dabble. They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And let’s make no mistake about it… Culinary videos are oftentimes extremely irresistible. 😉
Clearly, you need to stick to your chosen diet plan long enough to see results. Calorie reduction and fresh, healthy foods and drinks are said to be the most surefire way to lose weight healthfully.
I’m no diet or fitness guru, but I see merit in that. The fat should come right off if you control what and how much you eat and drink. Add some exercise into the mix and look out!
It’s common weight loss advice. As well it should be!
But even if your chosen diet isn’t a low-calorie model, you may still be well-served to stick with it long-term. With some diets, macro-nutrient ratios are more important than calories consumed. And it’s generally not advised to mess around with those, if you’re trying to maximize your weight loss.
Give your chosen diet plan enough time to work for you. Then, if it doesn’t, at least you won’t have yourself to blame!
