There are like a million and one diet plans available to you these days. Choosing one diet over another can be a daunting task.
That’s why I believe that, once a particular diet has been chosen, and you’re looking to prepare your own tasty meals, you only want to seek out food and drink recipes that fit within that particular diet plan. Failure to stay on your chosen path can prove detrimental. It may just bring you back to the starting line.
Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
It’s basic, but hugely important.
In the past, I’ve definitely hopped from one thing to the next… like crazy. And when I really think about it, there’s only one reason why…
On low-sugar, you crave sweets. On low-calorie, you crave calories. If the person on the screen tells you it’s healthy, you should probably eat it, yeah? And let’s tell the truth. Recipe videos are, in many cases, pretty damned knee-weakening.
Clearly, you need to stick to your chosen diet plan long enough to see results. Reaching your weight loss goals may be as simple as eating natural foods and limiting your caloric intake.
I’m no diet or fitness guru, but I see merit in that. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. Add some exercise into the mix and look out!
You’ll probably recognize this as conventional wisdom. It probably earned its right to be!
Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
At least stick with one thing long enough to see results!
