So here’s the story…
These days, there is simply an overabundance of diet plans. It can be overwhelming to decide.
Therefore, as soon as you’ve made your choice, and it’s time to start prepping weight loss meals, it’s important that you stay committed to your plan. It can really hinder your success to stray from your chosen path. It may just return you to square one.
This is why you definitely want to compile a small library of recipes that fit within your particular diet plan. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
The importance of this cannot be overstated.
I only bring this up because I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself. And I’ve done so for one simply reason…
Food and drinks that one diet allows, and perhaps even encourages, a whole other diet is likely going to limit. They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And let’s not BS ourselves. Meal prep videos can oftentimes be pretty damned irresistible. 😉
Sticking to the plan long-term is perhaps the most important component of dieting. While each diet is completely unique in its approach, many say that healthy food and a slight caloric deficit are really all it take to help you reach your goals.
If you’re honest with yourself, I’m sure you’ll see the merit in that. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. This becomes even more powerful as you raise your activity levels.
This is surely the most popular weight loss model in existence. And it probably has that designation for a reason!
But even if your chosen diet isn’t a low-calorie model, you may still be well-served to stick with it long-term. Macro-nutrient ratios are a key focus of many diet plans out there. And you may not want to play around with those.
Give your chosen diet plan enough time to work for you. Then, if it doesn’t, at least you won’t have yourself to blame!
