Diet plans clearly abound. It can be overwhelming to decide.
As such, the moment you’ve made your choice, and you’re looking to prepare your own tasty meals, you need to adhere to your chosen diet plan. A lack of focus is often to blame for weight loss failure. You just might find yourself needing to start all over.
For this reason, I suggest starting a diet-focused recipe library. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
Pretty basic stuff, right? But it’s super important.
Hopping from one diet to the next is certainly something that I’ve done in the past. And I’ve done so for one simply reason…
Foods that one diet plan allows, and perhaps even encourages, another, seemingly equally legit plan will likely deprive you of. The grass always seems greener on the other side. They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And one thing that’s clear… Cooking videos are, in many instances, quite knee-weakening. 😉
But the thing is, for any diet plan to work effectively, you really need to stick to it. Reaching your weight loss goals may be as simple as eating natural foods and limiting your caloric intake.
I’m no diet or fitness guru, but I see merit in that. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. This becomes even more powerful as you raise your activity levels.
This, of course, is standard, conventional advice. There’s probably good reason for this!
But even if your chosen diet isn’t a low-calorie model, you may still be well-served to stick with it long-term. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
Give your chosen diet plan enough time to work for you. Then, if it doesn’t, at least you won’t have yourself to blame!
