There are like a million and one diet plans available to you these days. It can be overwhelming to decide.
Therefore, once you’ve made your choice, and prepping healthy meals is the next step, you need to adhere to your chosen diet plan. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. You very well may find yourself in the frustrating position of having to start all over again.
This is why you definitely want to compile a small library of recipes that fit within your particular diet plan. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.
Does this make sense?
Hopping from one diet to the next is certainly something that I’ve done in the past. The reason for this is actually quite simple…
Food that one plan permits, and perhaps even encourages, another plan is probably going to disallow. And counter-arguments can be pretty compelling. And one thing that’s clear… Meal prep videos are, in many cases, extremely will-weakening. 😉
Choose a lifestyle that you’re thrilled to stick with. That’s how long-term results will be achieved. While each diet is completely unique in its approach, many say that healthy food and a slight caloric deficit are really all it take to help you reach your goals.
If you’re honest with yourself, I’m sure you’ll see the merit in that. Eat clean, don’t stuff your face all the time, and the fat should come right off. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.
This is clearly standard, conventional advice. And it probably has that designation for a reason!
Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. These are often pretty meticulously calculated, and straying from the prescribed ratio may jeopardize your results.
Stick to the plan. Give yourself a fighting chance!
