Here’s where you want to go…
These days, there is simply an overabundance of diet plans. If you’re like me, you’re probably overwhelmed by all of the options.
For this reason, once a particular diet has been chosen, and it’s time to start prepping weight loss meals, you only want to seek out food and drink recipes that fit within that particular diet plan. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. It’ll likely take you back to the very beginning.
For this reason, I suggest starting a diet-focused recipe library. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself, which is why I bring this up. Why did I do this? Only one reason…
On calorie-restriction, you crave calorie-dense foods. On low-sugar, you crave sugar. It’s always super tempting to dabble. They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And one thing is clear… Culinary videos are usually 100 percent hard to resist. 😉
Choose a lifestyle that you’re thrilled to stick with. That’s how long-term results will be achieved. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.
At the end of the day, it makes sense. Eat clean, don’t stuff your face all the time, and the fat should come right off. Raising your activity levels will also prove beneficial (obviously).
You’ll probably recognize this as common-sense weight loss. As well it should be!
Not all diets are calorie restrictive though. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. It could be detrimental to your results to stray from your diet’s particular ratio.
At least stick with one thing long enough to see results!
