There are simply far too many potential diet plans out there. If you’re like me, you’re probably overwhelmed by all of the options.
It’s for this reason that, the moment you’ve made your choice, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. You may end up in the position of starting all over again.
Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
The importance of this cannot be overstated.
Hopping from one diet to the next is certainly something that I’ve done in the past. The reason for this is actually quite simple…
You most often have cravings for the foods that your current diet plan restricts, which an entirely different program totally allows, and perhaps even encourages. It’s always super tempting to dabble. And counter-arguments can be pretty compelling. And let’s not lie to ourselves. Recipe videos are often undeniably knee-weakening. 😉
If you expect to see lasting results, you need to stick to your chosen plan of action. While each diet is completely unique in its approach, many say that healthy food and a slight caloric deficit are really all it take to help you reach your goals.
If you’re honest with yourself, I’m sure you’ll see the merit in that. Don’t pig out all day, steer clear of prepackaged junk, and you should see some pretty powerful results. Add some exercise into the mix and look out!
This is common weight loss advice. And this is for good reason!
Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And you may not want to play around with those.
Keep your eye on the prize! Don’t stray.
