Diet plans are in no short supply, my friend. The sheer volume of diet options is ridiculously overwhelming.
So when the choice has been made, and it’s time to start prepping weight loss meals, it’s important that you stay committed to your plan. Wavering could be detrimental to your weight loss success. You may find yourself needing to start all over.
For this reason, I suggest starting a diet-focused recipe library. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
Pretty basic stuff, right? But it’s super important.
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one diet to the next. Why did I do this? Only one reason…
On low-calorie, you crave calorie-rich foods. On sugar-restriction, you crave sweets. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? And counter-arguments can be pretty compelling. And let’s tell the truth. Food videos are usually 100% irresistible.
Sticking to the plan long-term is perhaps the most important component of dieting. Of course, it could be said that any diet that focuses on all-natural foods and reasonable portion sizes can be enough all on its own.
Makes sense to me. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. Oh, and move that body of yours a little more!
This is standard, conventional advice. And this is for good reason!
Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
Keep your eye on the prize! Don’t stray.
