Diet plans are in no short supply, my friend. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!
Therefore, when you’ve made your choice, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, you need to adhere to your chosen diet plan. Wavering could be detrimental to your weight loss success. You just might end up back at the starting line.
This is why you definitely want to compile a small library of recipes that fit within your particular diet plan. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
Know what I mean?
Hopping from one diet to the next is certainly something that I’ve done in the past. The reason for this is actually quite simple…
On a low-fat diet, you crave fat. On calorie-restriction, you crave calorically-dense foods. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? If the person on the screen tells you it’s healthy, you should probably eat it, yeah? And let’s be honest. Food-based videos are, in many instances, pretty difficult to resist. 😉
If you expect to see lasting results, you need to stick to your chosen plan of action. Calorie reduction and fresh, healthy foods and drinks are said to be the most surefire way to lose weight healthfully.
Makes sense. Don’t pig out all day, steer clear of prepackaged junk, and you should see some pretty powerful results. Add some exercise into the mix and look out!
This is clearly conventional wisdom. It probably earned its right to be!
Not all diets are calorically restrictive though. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And you may not want to play around with those.
Stick to the plan. Give yourself a fighting chance!
