Diet plans clearly abound. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!

I believe that when you’ve decided on a particular diet, and prepping healthy meals is the next step, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. It’ll likely take you back to the drawing board.

You’d be well served, for this very reason, to build up an online library of recipes within your chosen plan. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.

Know what I mean?

I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself, which is why I bring this up. The reason for this is actually quite simple…

Food that one diet plan deprives you of, an entirely different diet program completely permits, and perhaps even encourages. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? And counter-arguments can be pretty compelling. And let’s tell the truth here. Recipe videos are, in many instances, ridiculously difficult to resist. 😉

If you expect to see lasting results, you need to stick to your chosen plan of action. Calorie reduction and fresh, healthy foods and drinks are said to be the most surefire way to lose weight healthfully.

Makes sense to me. The fat should come right off if you control what and how much you eat and drink. Raising your activity levels will also prove beneficial (obviously).

You’ll probably recognize this as conventional wisdom. And it probably has that designation for a reason!

But even if your chosen diet isn’t a low-calorie model, you may still be well-served to stick with it long-term. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. These are often pretty meticulously calculated, and straying from the prescribed ratio may jeopardize your results.

Give your chosen diet plan enough time to work for you. Then, if it doesn’t, at least you won’t have yourself to blame!

Check out my low carb recipe videos category page on the site. There are countless videos for you to dive into.

Then, using your browser’s bookmarking feature, begin saving the videos that you like. Create an all new bookmark folder with the name “**DIET TYPE (LOW-CARB, VEGAN, PALEO, ETC)** Cooking,” or whatever else you like.
