There are simply far too many potential diet plans out there. It can be overwhelming to decide.
So as soon as you’ve made your choice, and prepping healthy meals is the next step, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. It can really hinder your success to stray from your chosen path. You may find yourself starting all over.
It’s really a good idea to build up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer or device. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
It’s basic, but hugely important.
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself, which is why I bring this up. Why did I do this? Only one reason…
On low-calorie, you crave calorie-rich foods. On a low-fat diet, you crave fat. The grass always seems greener on the other side. They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And one thing that’s clear… Meal prep videos are, in many cases, extremely hard to resist. 😉
Sticking to the plan long-term is perhaps the most important component of dieting. Calorie reduction and fresh, healthy foods and drinks are said to be the most surefire way to lose weight healthfully.
Seems like pretty responsible advice. Don’t pig out all day, steer clear of prepackaged junk, and you should see some pretty powerful results. Raising your activity levels will also prove beneficial (obviously).
This is clearly standard, conventional wisdom. And this is for good reason!
Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. Macro-nutrient ratios are a key focus of many diet plans out there. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
Keep your eye on the prize! Don’t stray.
