There are obviously many diet plans in the world. If you’re like me, you’re probably overwhelmed by all of the options.
So as soon as you’ve committed to a diet, and it’s time to start prepping weight loss meals, you need to adhere to your chosen diet plan. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. You just might wind up in the frustrating position of starting all over from scratch.
Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
Does this make sense?
I only bring this up because I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself. And when I really think about it, there’s only one reason why…
Food and drinks that one diet program allows, and perhaps even encourages, another, seemingly equally legit diet program will restrict. They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And one thing that’s clear… Culinary videos are often pretty difficult to resist.
Clearly, you need to stick to your chosen diet plan long enough to see results. While each diet is completely unique in its approach, many say that healthy food and a slight caloric deficit are really all it take to help you reach your goals.
At the end of the day, it makes sense. Don’t pig out all day, steer clear of prepackaged junk, and you should see some pretty powerful results. Add some exercise into the mix and look out!
This is clearly common weight loss advice. It probably earned its right to be!
Of course, not all diet plans follow this model. And even if they don’t, you may want to stick with them anyway. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
Give your chosen diet plan enough time to work for you. Then, if it doesn’t, at least you won’t have yourself to blame!
