There are simply far too many potential diet plans out there. If you’re like me, you’re probably overwhelmed by all of the options.
So as soon as you’ve committed to a diet, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, it’s important that you stay committed to your plan. Failure to stay on your chosen path can prove detrimental. It will take you back to the drawing board.
You’d be well served, for this very reason, to build up an online library of recipes within your chosen plan. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
Pretty basic stuff, right? But it’s super important.
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one diet to the next. And when I really think about it, there’s only one reason why…
Food and drinks that one diet doesn’t allow you to consume, another, seemingly equally legitimate plan permits, and perhaps even encourages. The grass always seems greener on the other side. Besides, those “video doctors” sure do make compelling arguments. And one thing is clear… Cooking videos can be extremely will-shattering. 😉
Sticking to the plan long-term is perhaps the most important component of dieting. Reaching your weight loss goals may be as simple as eating natural foods and limiting your caloric intake.
If you’re honest with yourself, I’m sure you’ll see the merit in that. Don’t pig out all day, steer clear of prepackaged junk, and you should see some pretty powerful results. Oh, and move that body of yours a little more! 😉
This, of course, is standard, conventional advice. And this is for good reason!
Not all diets are calorically restrictive though. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. These are often pretty meticulously calculated, and straying from the prescribed ratio may jeopardize your results.
Please stay the course. Your future self will thank you for it!
