There are like a million and one diet plans available to you these days. Choosing one diet over another can be a daunting task.
So as soon as a particular diet has been chosen, and it’s time to start menu planning, sticking to your chosen diet is of paramount importance. It can really hinder your success to stray from your chosen path. It may just take you back to the starting line.
You’d be well served, for this very reason, to build up an online library of recipes within your chosen plan. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
Does this make sense?
In the past, I’ve definitely hopped from one thing to the next… like crazy. Why did I do this? Only one reason…
On low-fat, you crave fat. On low-calorie, you crave calorie-rich foods. It’s always super tempting to dabble. Besides, those “video doctors” sure do make compelling arguments. And one thing that’s clear… Meal prep videos can oftentimes be pretty darn difficult to resist. 😉
Choose a lifestyle that you’re thrilled to stick with. That’s how long-term results will be achieved. Reaching your weight loss goals may be as simple as eating natural foods and limiting your caloric intake.
Makes sense to me. Don’t pig out all day, steer clear of prepackaged junk, and you should see some pretty powerful results. Raising your activity levels will also prove beneficial (obviously).
Clearly, this is conventional wisdom. And this is for good reason!
Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. Many diets have more of a macro-nutrient ratio focus. Failure to adhere to your diet’s particular ratio may compromise your weight loss results.
At least stick with one thing long enough to see results!
