Clearly, there are many diet plans in the world. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!
I believe that the moment you’ve decided on a particular diet, and you’re looking to prepare your own tasty meals, you need to adhere to your chosen diet plan. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. You may very well wind up starting all over again.
Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
Know what I mean?
In the past, I’ve definitely hopped from one thing to the next… like crazy. The reason for this is actually quite simple…
On calorie-restriction, you crave high calorie foods. On a low-fat diet, you crave fat. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? If the person on the screen tells you it’s healthy, you should probably eat it, yeah? And let’s call a spade a spade… Food-based videos are often unbelievably seductive. 😉
If you expect to see lasting results, you need to stick to your chosen plan of action. While each diet is completely unique in its approach, many say that healthy food and a slight caloric deficit are really all it take to help you reach your goals.
Seems pretty logical, really. Eat clean, don’t stuff your face all the time, and the fat should come right off. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.
No doubt that this is conventional weight loss advice. And it probably has that designation for a reason!
Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. Failure to adhere to your diet’s particular ratio may compromise your weight loss results.
Keep your eye on the prize! Don’t stray.
