So let’s chat a bit…
Diet plans clearly abound. The sheer volume of diet options is ridiculously overwhelming.
For this reason, as soon as the choice has been made, and you’re looking to prepare your own tasty meals, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. It can really hinder your success to stray from your chosen path. It may just return you to the beginning.
It’s really a good idea to build up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer or device. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
It’s basic, but hugely important.
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself, which is why I bring this up. And there’s really only one reason why…
On calorie-restriction, you crave calorically-dense foods. On sugar-restriction, you crave sweets. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? And let’s be honest. Culinary videos are usually ridiculously tempting. 😉
Sticking to the plan long-term is perhaps the most important component of dieting. Calorie reduction and fresh, healthy foods and drinks are said to be the most surefire way to lose weight healthfully.
Makes sense. Put the right amounts of the right fuel into your body, and reap the rewards of a healthy body and physique. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.
This, of course, is conventional wisdom. There’s probably good reason for this!
Of course, not all diet plans follow this model. And even if they don’t, you may want to stick with them anyway. With some diets, macro-nutrient ratios are more important than calories consumed. And you may not want to play around with those.
At least stick with one thing long enough to see results!
I Suggest You Do This…
Go to the vegetarian videos category page on the site. There are countless videos for you to dive into.
Then, using your browser’s bookmarking feature, begin saving the videos that you like. Add them to an all new file folder called “Vegetarian Recipe Vids,” or something else that you’ll remember.
