Spiced Chickpea Avocado Mash Recipe
I love chickpeas and I love avocado, but haven’t really thought much on mixing the two together until now. This recipe is great because it can be a vegan substitute for a tuna spread, or it can be a fun new sandwich idea for someones lunch. Honestly, this sounds great on a salad as well.

There are like a million and one diet plans available to you these days. If you’re like me, you’re probably overwhelmed by all of the options.
It’s for this reason that, the moment you’ve committed to a diet, and you’re looking to prepare your own tasty meals, sticking to your chosen diet is of paramount importance. Failure to stay on your chosen path can prove detrimental. It may just take you back to the very beginning.
Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
Pretty basic stuff, right? But it’s super important.
I only bring this up because I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself. And there’s really only one reason why…
On a low-calorie diet, you tend to crave calorie-rich foods. On low-fat, you crave fat. It’s always super tempting to dabble. Besides, those “video doctors” sure do make compelling arguments. And one thing that’s clear… Food-based videos are often pretty darn irresistible. 😉
If you expect to see lasting results, you need to stick to your chosen plan of action. While each diet is completely unique in its approach, many say that healthy food and a slight caloric deficit are really all it take to help you reach your goals.
Seems pretty logical, really. The fat should come right off if you control what and how much you eat and drink. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.
You’ll probably recognize this as conventional wisdom. It probably earned its right to be!
Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. With some diets, macro-nutrient ratios are more important than calories consumed. It could be detrimental to your results to stray from your diet’s particular ratio.
Stick to the plan. Give yourself a fighting chance!
