There are obviously many diet plans in the world. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!
I believe that the moment you’ve decided on a particular diet, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, you only want to seek out food and drink recipes that fit within that particular diet plan. A lack of focus is often to blame for weight loss failure. You just may find yourself having to start all over.
You’d be well served, for this very reason, to build up an online library of recipes within your chosen plan. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.
The importance of this cannot be overstated.
In the past, I’ve definitely hopped from one thing to the next… like crazy. Why did I do this? Only one reason…
On low-calorie, you crave calorie-rich foods. On low-fat, you crave fat. It’s always super tempting to dabble. They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And one thing that’s clear… Food-based videos are, in many cases, pretty darn tempting. 😉
But the thing is, for any diet plan to work effectively, you really need to stick to it. Of course, it could be said that any diet that focuses on all-natural foods and reasonable portion sizes can be enough all on its own.
Makes sense to me. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. This becomes even more powerful as you raise your activity levels.
This is surely conventional weight loss advice. As well it should be!
Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
Give your chosen diet plan enough time to work for you. Then, if it doesn’t, at least you won’t have yourself to blame!
