Moving on…
There are like a million and one diet plans available to you these days. It can be overwhelming to decide.
As such, as soon as you’ve committed to a diet, and it’s time to start menu planning, you only want to seek out food and drink recipes that fit within that particular diet plan. It can really hinder your success to stray from your chosen path. You just may find yourself in the frustrating position of starting all over from scratch.
Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
This is extremely important.
Hopping from one diet to the next is certainly something that I’ve done in the past. And when I really think about it, there’s only one reason why…
You’re going to usually develop cravings for whatever it happens to be that your chosen diet restricts, which a competing program 100 percent permits, and perhaps even encourages. It’s always super tempting to dabble. Besides, those “video doctors” sure do make compelling arguments. And let’s call a spade a spade… Recipe videos are often pretty will-weakening. 😉
Choose a lifestyle that you’re thrilled to stick with. That’s how long-term results will be achieved. Reaching your weight loss goals may be as simple as eating natural foods and limiting your caloric intake.
Makes sense to me. Eat clean, don’t stuff your face all the time, and the fat should come right off. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.
Clearly, this is conventional weight loss advice. And it’s for good reason that it is!
Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. Many diets have more of a macro-nutrient ratio focus. And you may not want to play around with those.
Keep your eye on the prize! Don’t stray.
