These days, there is simply an overabundance of diet plans. If you’re like me, you’re probably overwhelmed by all of the options.
I believe that when you’ve made your choice, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, you only want to seek out food and drink recipes that fit within that particular diet plan. A lack of focus is often to blame for weight loss failure. You’re quite likely to wind up starting all over from scratch.
This is why you definitely want to compile a small library of recipes that fit within your particular diet plan. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
Makes perfect sense, right?
I only bring this up because I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself. And when I really think about it, there’s only one reason why…
What one eating plan won’t allow you to consume, another diet fully encourages. It’s always super tempting to dabble. And let’s tell the truth here. Recipe videos are often unbelievably will-weakening. 😉
If you expect to see lasting results, you need to stick to your chosen plan of action. Of course, it could be said that any diet that focuses on all-natural foods and reasonable portion sizes can be enough all on its own.
Makes sense. The fat should come right off if you control what and how much you eat and drink. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.
This, of course, is the world’s most popular weight loss advice. And this is for good reason!
Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. These are often pretty meticulously calculated, and straying from the prescribed ratio may jeopardize your results.
Stick to the plan. Give yourself a fighting chance!
