Diet plans clearly abound. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!
So once a particular diet has been chosen, and you’re looking to prepare your own tasty meals, you only want to seek out food and drink recipes that fit within that particular diet plan. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. You’re quite likely to wind up in the frustrating position of having to start all over again.
Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
It’s basic, but hugely important.
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one diet to the next. And I’ve done so for one simply reason…
Food and beverages that one diet program allows, and perhaps even encourages, another, seemingly equally legit diet program is likely to say no to. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? Besides, those “video doctors” sure do make compelling arguments. And let’s not lie to ourselves. Recipe videos are usually pretty will-weakening. 😉
If you expect to see lasting results, you need to stick to your chosen plan of action. Calorie reduction and fresh, healthy foods and drinks are said to be the most surefire way to lose weight healthfully.
I can certainly see the merit in that, even though I’m no diet or fitness guru. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. Raising your activity levels will also prove beneficial (obviously).
You’ll probably recognize this as common-sense weight loss. As well it should be!
Even still, if you’re trying to stick to a particular plan, you may want to stay the course. Macro-nutrient ratios are a key focus of many diet plans out there. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
Please stay the course. Your future self will thank you for it!
