There are like a million and one diet plans available to you these days. Choosing one diet over another can be a daunting task.
Therefore, the moment you’ve made your choice, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. It can really hinder your success to stray from your chosen path. You’re likely to end up back at the beginning of your journey.
Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
Know what I mean?
I only bring this up because I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself. The reason for this is actually quite simple…
Menu items that one plan allows, a totally different plan is going to banish. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? And let’s tell the truth here. Cooking videos can be ridiculously difficult to resist. 😉
Sticking to the plan long-term is perhaps the most important component of dieting. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.
If you’re honest with yourself, I’m sure you’ll see the merit in that. Put the right amounts of the right fuel into your body, and reap the rewards of a healthy body and physique. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.
You’ll probably recognize this as the world’s most popular weight loss advice. And it’s for good reason that it is!
Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. These are often pretty meticulously calculated, and straying from the prescribed ratio may jeopardize your results.
At least stick with one thing long enough to see results!

Then, bookmark the videos that you really enjoy in your browser. Save them in an all new folder which you can call “Vegan Meal Vids,” or whatever happens to strike your fancy.
