Here’s where you want to go…
I just wanted to say a few things…
These days, there is simply an overabundance of diet plans. If you’re like me, you’re probably overwhelmed by all of the options.
It’s for this reason that, when you’ve decided on a particular diet, and it’s time to start menu planning, sticking to your chosen diet is of paramount importance. It can really hinder your success to stray from your chosen path. It will bring you back to the very beginning.
This is why you definitely want to compile a small library of recipes that fit within your particular diet plan. If you’re going low-calorie, then compile low-calorie recipes. If you’re a low-carber, then you’ll want low-carb recipes.
Does this make sense?
In the past, I’ve definitely hopped from one thing to the next… like crazy. And there’s really only one reason why…
Foods that one eating plan doesn’t allow, a whole other diet plan totally permits. It’s always super tempting to dabble. And counter-arguments can be pretty compelling. And let’s make no mistake about it… Recipe videos are often undeniably knee-weakening. 😉
But the thing is, for any diet plan to work effectively, you really need to stick to it. Of course, it could be said that any diet that focuses on all-natural foods and reasonable portion sizes can be enough all on its own.
I can certainly see the merit in that, even though I’m no diet or fitness guru. Don’t pig out all day, steer clear of prepackaged junk, and you should see some pretty powerful results. This becomes even more powerful as you raise your activity levels.
It’s standard, conventional advice. It probably earned its right to be!
But even if your chosen diet isn’t a low-calorie model, you may still be well-served to stick with it long-term. Diets are often effective because of their macro-nutrient ratios. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
At least stick with one thing long enough to see results!
