Diet plans clearly abound. Choosing one diet over another can be a daunting task.
That’s why I believe that, as soon as you’ve made your choice, and prepping healthy meals is the next step, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. Straying from your original chosen plan may very well lead to failure. You could very well end up back at the starting line.
Building up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer is a great idea, for this very reason. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
The importance of this cannot be overstated.
In the past, I’ve definitely hopped from one thing to the next… like crazy. The reason for this is actually quite simple…
You’re gonna generally develop pretty powerful cravings for whichever foods your specific plan won’t let you consume, which an entirely different diet protocol encourages. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? And let’s tell the truth. Food-based videos are usually ridiculously irresistible. 😉
Choose a lifestyle that you’re thrilled to stick with. That’s how long-term results will be achieved. Reaching your weight loss goals may be as simple as eating natural foods and limiting your caloric intake.
I can certainly see the merit in that, even though I’m no diet or fitness guru. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. This is especially true if our activity levels are relatively high.
It’s the world’s most popular weight loss advice. There’s probably good reason for this!
Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. Many diets put more of an emphasis on macro-nutrient ratios. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
At least stick with one thing long enough to see results!
