So here’s the story…
There are obviously many diet plans in the world. You may be overwhelmed with your options. I know that I get overwhelmed with mine!
Therefore, when you’ve made your choice, and and you’re watching these recipe videos to get meal ideas, you only want to seek out food and drink recipes that fit within that particular diet plan. Failure to stay on your chosen path can prove detrimental. You’re quite likely to end up back at the very beginning.
You’d be well served, for this very reason, to build up an online library of recipes within your chosen plan. So if you’re going low-carb, then build up a low-carb recipe library.
Pretty basic stuff, right? But it’s super important.
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one diet to the next. And I’ve done so for one simply reason…
On low-sugar, you crave sweets. On a low-carb diet, you tend to crave carbs. I mean, it’s still officially “diet food,” even if it’s not your diet… right? Besides, those “video doctors” sure do make compelling arguments. And let’s not kid ourselves. Food-based videos can be pretty difficult to resist. 😉
Sticking to the plan long-term is perhaps the most important component of dieting. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.
Seems like pretty responsible advice. Control the calorie intake, eat clean, and the fat should come right off. This becomes even more powerful as you raise your activity levels.
This, of course, is the most popular weight loss model in existence. It probably earned its right to be!
Calorie reduction isn’t the only game in town though. With some diets, macro-nutrient ratios are more important than calories consumed. And playing around too much with those may be something to steer clear of.
Please stay the course. Your future self will thank you for it!
