I just wanted to say a few things…
Diet plans clearly abound. If you’re like me, you’re probably overwhelmed by all of the options.
That’s why I believe that, when you’ve committed to a diet, and it’s time to start prepping weight loss meals, you want to avoid looking outside of your chosen diet for meal options. Failure to stay on your chosen path can prove detrimental. It may just return you to the drawing board.
It’s really a good idea to build up a diet-focused recipe library on your computer or device. So if you’ve chosen the ketogenic diet as your weight loss method, for example, then you ONLY want those types of recipes in your library… and nothing else.
Pretty basic stuff, right? But it’s super important.
I’ve been guilty of hopping from one plan to the next myself, which is why I bring this up. Why did I do this? Only one reason…
On sugar-restriction, you crave sweets. On a low-calorie diet, you tend to crave calorie-rich foods. It’s always super tempting to dabble. They say it’s healthy, after all. So it should be okay, right? And let’s tell the truth here. Cooking videos can oftentimes be pretty damned knee-weakening. π
Sticking to the plan long-term is perhaps the most important component of dieting. At the end of the day, eating healthy foods and not going into a crazy caloric surplus may be enough to help you reach your goals.
Seems like pretty responsible advice. Eat clean, don’t stuff your face all the time, and the fat should come right off. Oh, and move that body of yours a little more! π
No doubt that this is common-sense weight loss. There’s probably good reason for this!
Not all diets are calorically restrictive though. With some diets, macro-nutrient ratios are more important than calories consumed. It could be detrimental to your results to stray from your diet’s particular ratio.
Give your chosen diet plan enough time to work for you. Then, if it doesn’t, at least you won’t have yourself to blame!
